Why Tarik Cohen is so excited to be a part of Matt Nagy’s offense
We’re a little under five months away from the first meaningful snap of the Matt Nagy era, but since it’s April, it’s a good time to daydream about what the Bears’ offense could look like in 2018.
But in the season-ending victory over the Packers, things seemed to click for Davis as he made 12 tackles and an interception as a three-down linebacker.
It really did, Quinn said. I’d say the last four to five games of the season, you really saw Jarrad Davis at his fullest, which stepping in, rookie middle linebacker, signal caller, he had a lot of things on his plate early in the season. Fought through an injury, missed a couple games there with the neck, then came back and we kind of took a few things off his plate to kind of get him back running again, and I was really happy with how the year ended up.
Getting that contract done could be difficult, though.
According to a report from Yahoo’s Charles Robinson , Rodgers hasn’t been happy with the team recently. The quarterback wants more input when the Packers are making decisions that impact him.
That sticking point, and other obstacles, could create a contentious situation between Rodgers and the Packers that takes years to reach its conclusion.
Emotions boiled over to end Game 3 after the Devils scored back-to-back empty netters to turn a one-goal game into a 5-2 win.
Cohen said he’s worked this year on his route-running and receiving skills, which could make him an interesting candidate to back up the similarly-diminutive Taylor Gabriel at the Zebra receiver spot in Nagy’s offense. And while Cohen can be used there, that may sell short his skills as a running back, which will remain his primary role.
Davis, the 21st overall pick, hurt his neck in Week 2 and faced some difficulties in pass coverage. The Lions replaced him with Tahir Whitehead in their substitution packages after Davis returned from a two-game absence with his injury.
